Red is the featured décor coloration in The East Room, and is beautifully enhanced by the large, original watercolor by John Ruskey called “Heart of the Mississippi Delta.” The Town of Clarksdale is designated with a splash of crimson as are other significant Delta towns: Cleveland, Rosedale, Greenville, Indianola, Greenwood, Helena and Tunica.
The sumptuous red lounge chair located bedside is a spot worthy of luxuriation. Bookcases filled with books proffer literary options should one feel so inclined. Madge has a special love for this room as it has a real Gypset feel to it.
The East Room Wing features the color green both in the decor of the room and looking out the three large windows overlooking the large, private backyard. The blackout green curtains in here insure a super dark room in the mornings.
